Naturopathic Appointments

New Patient Forms  |  Laboratory Assessments |  Fees  |

Naturopathic Medicine is a process. It takes time (and effort) to become healthy. The more you put into your health, the more you will get out of it. Our aim is to support and guide you through this journey and foster a long-term relationship with you.

This is a rough guide of what to expect in each of your appointment:

First visit

Your first visit is an intake. It is 1-1.5 hours long and allows me to get to know you as an individual. It includes:

  • Filling out the necessary forms for your file – intake and consent
  • Full discussion of what brings you to the clinic, your goals, your past medical history and current state of health (including physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual aspects of health)
  • Review of medical records or laboratory tests ordered
  • Complaint-oriented physical exam
  • Initial treatment begins

Second visit

  • Follow up with laboratory results
  • Full treatment with rationalization begins

Third visit and beyond

  • Following-up with supplement, diet & lifestyle interventions is critical. We will redefine the protocol and work towards achieving optimal wellness
  • Education in healthy living & maintaining health
  • Acupuncture, if decided on as a main treatment modality, usually involves 5 initial treatments.
  • Things always come up! We address and treat anything that comes up along the way.

Laboratory Assessments

Sow Health has full laboratory access. We use evidence-based medicine and believe that it is imperative to use laboratory assessments throughout diagnosis and treatment. Our laboratory services include:

  • Basic blood tests typically run through your Doctor’s office (for example: complete blood count, liver enzymes, ferritin, vitamin B12, Vitamin D, and many more)
  • Food Sensitivity Testing (both IgG and IgE)
  • Salivary Hormone Testing
  • Hair Mineral Analysis
  • Comprehensive Stool Analysis with Parasitology
  • See the ‘links’ page for more information on the laboratories we are associated with (Lifelabs, Rocky Mountain Analytical & Doctor’s Data)
